I love chocolates and like flower bouquets. This is a combination of both, delightful paper flowers and yummy chocolates.
Use any chocolates you like, they should be circular or atleast thick enough for the skewer to pierce and hold. Few good ready made options are
Nestle Alpino
Ferrero Rochers
Lindt truffles
This is a medium size bouquet with 7 chocolate flowers. You can make it bigger also. The size of the flower will remain the same but you will need longer skewers and a larger vase.
Materials needed:
7 wrapped chocolates
7 fruit skewers
Green tape used for flower making
8-10 Artificial leaves
Red crepe paper
Red cellophane paper
Cello tape
Thermocol / green brick used in flower arrangements
5 inch plastic glass to use as vase
To make one flower:
Cut the crepe paper into two 2.5x3 inch rectangles. Cut one cellophane rectangle of the same size.
Place them over each other as shown in the picture. Make a fold as shown and secure with cello tape, inside and out. Make three such folds to make a cone.
Place the cellophane rectangle over the cone and insert the skewer from the bottom piercing all three layers.
Insert the skewer into a chocolate ball 3/4 of the way. Make sure the skewer does not come out of the other end of the chocolate. Adjust as shown and it will resemble the flower as shown in the picture. Secure the flower to the skewer with a cello tape. Wrap half the skewer (which will be seen above vase) with the green tape. Attach a green leaf towards the top while wrapping with green tape. Again secure end with cello tape.
Make 7 such flowers.
To assemble:
Place the thermocol piece in the plastic vase.
Place four flowers around the bottom almost touching the rim of the vase. Push skewer ends into the thermocol so they will stay in place. Cut the skewer sticks as needed.
Next place two flowers slightly higher than the first four.
Finally place one flower at the centre which is higher than all the flowers.
Adjust the stems so no thermocol is seen and it looks like a uniform cluster of flowers.
This bouquet will stay as long as you keep it out of heat and sunlight.
Gift this Chocolate Bouquet on Mother's Day and make your mum happy!
great will try it soon
