My favorite kind of sweets are the ones made with milk. These ladoos are perfect when you want some thing sweet with creaminess to soothe your palate. I made them for Ganesh Chaturthi this year. Hopefully you will make these as well.
Ingredients:
1 litre milk
1/2 teaspoon citric acid
200 grams condensed milk
Pinch cardamom powder
1 tablespoon milk
1 pinch saffron
In a small utensil, heat the milk and add the saffron. Remove from heat and let it seep.
Heat milk in a saucepan and when it comes to a boil, remove from heat and add the citric acid. Stir and the milk will split. If it doesn't add more citric acid till it splits. Drain the paneer and transfer it to a pan. Add the condensed milk and cardamom and mix well. Put the pan on heat and cook it on low heat till the paneer becomes one mass and starts leaving the sides of the pan. Let it cool. Take a handful of the mixture in your palm and press to form 1 inch ladoos. Take the seeped saffron, apply a dot on the ladoo and add a strand of saffron. The ladoos are ready!
You can keep them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for upto a week.
